This is Alex Symon, a local GP rider, helped in his racing career by The Motorcycle Workshop. In his own words:

I’m married to Sus (she’s a Marshall with BSB), we met at Brands Hatch, got married at Gretna Green (Sus dressed in marshalling gear myself wearing matching race leathers!), Sus and I have three children, all boys, Bailey (3), Taylor (2), Kaden (2 months).   We live in Crawley , and I work as a Finance Technician close to Gatwick.   Educated to degree level (Mathematics/Physics), and I have ambitions to start my own business in the future once racing career is complete.   I enjoy most things related to road bikes from racing, through to street fighters (a passion of mine prior to racing), MotoGP/BSB/SBK/AMA etc. I also enjoy cycling, running, swimming, weight lifting, squash, skiing, and personal development stuff, such as speed reading (I’ve been attempting to learn it for a long time now).   Enjoy chilling out watching TV with Sus. I like most foods (Chinese, Indian, Italian). Favourite films include Rocky series (very inspirational), Cars (well, maybe the guy’s favourite film!).   Enjoy most music (including Thrash metal and Hard House).   Inspirational people include Valentino Rossi & Eric Bostrum - bike racing, Mike Mentzer - fitness/weight lifting, Tony Robbins - personal development, and Tony de Vit - DJ.
